Featured in Pomona College Magazine!

Slide1

Pomona College Magazine, the quarterly publication of my alma mater in Southern California, features Inian Islands Institute this month!  Check out the piece!  We’re in an article about the challenges of launching a new project… together with a few other projects and businesses started by other young & bold Pomona alumni.

I learned so much at Pomona College. Although I was inspired by Alaska at a young age, it was at Pomona that my conservation ethic really developed, as I began to explore the beautiful deserts and mountain ranges of Southern California. Simultaneously, I saw the urban sprawl, traffic, and air pollution of greater Los Angeles, which hammered home the message that our society requires education and change.  This education set me on a path to Stanford University, and to the Inian Islands Institute project.

Thanks so much to Mark Kendall, editor of Pomona College Magazine, for featuring our project!
